This repeater served the club for many years and was always an "open" repeater system available for all licensed Amateurs to use. It was rendered a "silent key" in late 2018.
The original STARS VHF repeater repeater, WB2ELW 147.090 MHz was installed at the Colden, NY location.
STARS started up a new VHF system in January 2019 at this same location which is the backbone of the WB2ELW STARlink repeaters system.
The new system is crosslinked with the Hamburg, NY UHF repeater and provides a tremendous coverage footprint for the WNY area.
